The Ultimate version of myself: A work in progress

Español

You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously.

-SOPHIA BUSH

It’s been a while since I took the time to write a reflective piece or give a life update. I have been in a weird headspace- I feel like I am being pulled in all directions. I don’t know if this happens to you when you have many goals and aspirations or an infinite list of things to do. Still, the thought of all those things becomes too overwhelming, so you don’t do anything. Well, that’s been me these past couple of months.

I have been brainstorming and thinking about writing, hoping to get inspired, but then I get turned off by it all. Sometimes I break down the goals and turn them into smaller, more achievable steps, but the most challenging part is starting. Cutting all the bullshit excuses and starting. If I am being honest with myself and with you, the biggest thing that stops me is fear. Fear of failure. Fear of rejection. Fear that I am not good enough- got to love imposter syndrome.

Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality.

Lately, though, I’ve had conversations with people I’ve never met through social media, and they have been so encouraging. My poppa, mom, and sister always encourage me the best way they know. That’s a whole other level of complexity because even though I appreciate and value all their support, sometimes, they cannot show up in the way I need them to. It is not because they don’t want to but because they do not know how #firstgenproblems.

I have recently invested in a course to help me focus and create a strategic game plan to achieve my goals. One of the things I. really value about this course is that it is aligned with some of my beliefs. I believe in manifestation and matching the frequencies you want to attract. I have been focusing on my core values. What I believe and what aligns with the core of who I am and what I want. It is fascinating to see the intersectionality of it all.

What I love more is that it makes me reflect a lot on who I am and the big WHY.
Why do I want to achieve these goals?
Why are these things important to me?
Why am I not there yet?

It is also accompanied by WHAT.
What are you doing now?
What could you be doing to get to where you want?
What are your next steps?

One of the things I decided to do last night was to create yet another vision board. This time with the big WHY behind almost every picture.

I will share a few with you all and show my vision board, which has become my new wallpaper, to help serve as a daily reminder that I will work and strive for the life I want and deserve.

After feeling stuck, here are the areas I want to focus on more:
Being more consistent on my socials
Traveling more
Developing Healthier Habits
Eating Healthier
Meditating and practicing more yoga
Freedom and Flexibility
Writing more
Professional and Personal Development.
